Who Flipped the Switch?

I have to say I'm really diggin' the groundswell of thought and activity centered around making this city a better place to live. It's great to see Sacramento begin to take on an identity as a green city (as this site clearly intends to articulate). Yes, there's some conflicts of interest. Yes, there's policies that need major tweaking. Yes, there's some hypocrisy and blatant neglect. Change is inevitably messy. But more importantly, I'm tuning into a general uprising of agreement and creativity based on the premise that we aren't going to stand by and watch this city self-destruct. A switch has been flipped and cynicism, apathy and carelessness have been tossed aside and everyday people have, once again, adopted a stance of dignity and hope and optimism that change can happen, that small efforts pay off, that individual choices add up and that we can all do something to make a difference.
It's inspiring, its refreshing, and its really, really encouraging for the team at LJUrban to keep going, to keep pressing onward, to keep building better and better projects, to keep challenging the status quo, to keep blogging and spreading the eco-urban message, "make cities better."
Recently, we've figured out that you can distill this revolution down to three very simple but powerful concepts. This seems like a good place to share them:
Dream Big.
Live Small.
Do Good.
OK, I'm done now. Next speaker, please.
