Greener Eating for sharing ideas and tips on eating well from foods that aren't as damaging to the environment to produce. As Michael Pollan as said, "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."
The focus here is "flexitarian," looking at food to enjoy, to prepare, to share. But, always with the eye to getting it local, unprocesses, fresh and whole, and at supporting agricultural practices that are friendly for the environment and sustainable -- as well as, in the case of food animals, respectful and humane.
Recipe-sharing is as welcome here as is the dicussion of the politics of food, and whether eating in a more local way with fewer "food miles" is something few can afford. (Not true!)
Although this is not really a gardening group, we certainly can enjoy and share stories of Environmental Victory Gardens, backyard egg-laying chickens and other ways to "get off the grid" with food!
